On June 6, 2016, the first conference for establishment of national mandatory standard system for engineering development (light industrial engineering part) was held in Shanghai. This conference was organized by China Investigation and Design Association of Light Industry and co-organized by China Haisum. 15 representatives, including the representatives from Engineering Development Standard Committee under China Investigation and Design Association of Light Industry and the experts from relevant organizations of the light industry system, attended the conference.
According to the requirements of the State Council, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will introduce innovative measures for engineering standard system establishment by establishing a mandatory standard system, of which the application scope is strictly limited to assuring the personal health and life & property safety, national security and ecological safety, and to satisfying the basic social and economic management requirements; light industrial engineering is an important aspect of this system.
Under the leadership of the Association, the experts attending the conference carefully studied and probed into relevant documents issued by the State Council and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, comprehended the essence thereof, unified the understanding, and reviewed the "mandatory standard system preparation outline - light industrial engineering part (first draft)" prepared by China Haisum. Additionally, China Haisum was identified as the principal drafting and leading organization for this mission at that conference.
