Using Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, Dr. Josh teaches four master domains and 29 individual life skills to cultivate motivation and empower attendees to better manage the demands of school, work, personal relationships, and self-esteem. His 60 minute workshop follows a PowerPoint format with practice exercises and can be offered to any size audience.
Workshop Learning Objectives:
- How to overcome cognitive and emotional barriers to maintaining motivation
- How to utilize goal setting and effective time-management skills
- How to utilize positive health habits to cultivate energy and passion
- How to create a support network of role models and positive peer influences

As a result of the workshop at 1 month follow-up:
- Personal relationships – 90% of attendees reported a somewhat or extremely positive change in personal relationships with friends, family, bosses, coaches, and/or lovers
- Self-esteem – 90% of attendees reported a somewhat or extremely positive change in self-esteem or how he/she feels on a regular basis
- Academic performance – 79% of attendees reported a somewhat or extremely positive change in academic performance (e.g., better grades, doing more homework, studying harder, raising your GPA)
- Employment status – 40% of attendees reported a somewhat or extremely positive change in employment status (e.g., starting to look for a job, getting more interviews, getting hired, switching from part-time to full-time)
About the Presenter
Dr. Josh is a clinical psychologist, mental wellness consultant and motivational speaker. He is licensed to practice psychology in New York & New Jersey, and currently treats children, young adults and families at two offices in New York, NY. He is the Mental Well-Being Expert for Superfutures, a national college prep and coaching agency for high school students. Dr. Josh is the former Outreach Coordinator and Peer Counseling Program Coordinator for The City College of New York, where he developed and conducted workshop trainings for students, faculty and staff. To date, Dr. Josh has delivered nearly 100 psycho-educational workshops on topics such as: Time Management, Stress Management, Test Anxiety, Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, and Insomnia. He is currently offering motivational training to high schools, colleges and organizations in the greater New York metro area.
